This was a Env design done for my school assignment. Fun one but probably could had spend more time exploring in the design stage. Just got lazy and bored refining parts due to tons of assignment and other stuffs to learn as a VFX specialisation.But my ultimate goal is achieved though which was to portray a some sort of life in a distant traditional village living by the sea coast. The Interior design was really sucky.. Ran out of time. no comp studies at exploration at all @_@

Midnight Random Painting
After busy for so long just got some mood to paint as i was unable to sleep. Playing around with brushes and random color and values all around. and just saw this green-glowed eye with purple covering head statues starting to surface as i paint along.. and continued from there .. took me 45mins to really tell myself this was a waste of time and i should go sleep @.@

Quick Env Sketch
Started from a dark blueish palette.. but decided to add in greens and red and browns to it , just having some fun but still lazy or just no idea how to render how the details after blocking out the shapes.

It all started with CYAN ....
It all started with a Cyan on the Canvas... and my mind just goes loose and mix in other colors and stuffs what ever i can think of at a short period of time..and i am supposed to be tweaking my maya render for assignment. I think i am falling in love with environment painting. Still dont know how to get my mountains to look hard and crisp or to look real at all.

Another School Assignment "Grimm's FairyTale" - The Simeli Mountain WIP
So here it is another digital artwork. This is for my school assignment which is to do an Outdoor and Indoor Environment work based on a chosen story from the Brother's Grimm Fairytale. I have chosen the Simeli Mountain story. Below are pictures of my process, still not done yet though.. need to study more about how lighting affects nature in the real world and how to paint mountains lol. Still not very satisfied with how the trees fit and mountain are placed on the environment.

20mins Random Color Painting
Decided to do a 1 point perspective composition straight with colors instead of black and white. Wasn't sure what I wanted but end up with a forest river scene.Playing around with green and blue colors then decided to add a subject into the scene using Red as complementary to the scene dominating cool colors. In the end, realized all the brush and unclean strokes as I put the canvas on 100% view lol .. but kinda enjoy the process and mood of it I guess..

Creature Design 'Excavador'
Another 7 week assignment ,this time round is Creature Design.Everything was done in
Photoshop. My concept is focusing towards an Ancient Creature that has 'Charger' like capabilities which they were used to charge down castle walls or doors during siege battles.I spent a lot of time on the silhouette stage generating and mixing the ones I like till I came out with the shapes that appeal and convey the feeling that I was looking for in my creature design.

For the environment illustration, started out in black and white so I don't have to worry about the values at the later stage when I go onto colors. I just wanted a scene where the creature has charged through the walls of the enemies with walls cracked, debris and some leftovers of the soldiers rushing to defend their kingdom and lastly fires and flames around the environment to portray the mood of the scene even more. Basically a tilted composition to make it more interesting and dynamic. Enjoy the process and workflow I tried for this assignment compared to my Mecha Design.
